Relais Campiglioni

The breakfast was especially good, super fresh, and the rooms were clean and cozy. I did wish there were more hooks in the wardrobe and bathroom for drying beach towels. The complex has a big, clean pool, which was great in temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius. We had looked at a couple of hotels and wanted somewhere calm and close to nature, rather than in a city, so we chose the Chianti region and Agriturisimo Relais Campiglioni. We were welcomed warmly and had a fabulous stay. A quick heads-up about the loose road going up the hill, and you'll definitely need a car. There isn't a restaurant at the hotel, and the nice options nearby can only be reached by car.

We only stayed 2 nights and regretted not booking longer. The property and gardens are beautifully cared for, with lovely views, scented air, and birdsong. The pool was well maintained and felt like fresh water. Breakfast was varied and top quality, just as others have described. It's a wonderful base for walks and visits around the Chianti region. The setting is truly breathtaking and left us smiling.

We came for several days after an unexpected change of plans, having booked the place almost by chance. It turned out to be the biggest surprise of our trip. The peaceful, nature-filled Tuscan stay we had imagined came true, and Nik’s grandmother treated us to delicious homemade cakes. Nik and his family were wonderful, even coming out to say goodbye when we left. Those days will stay among our treasured memories, and we'll definitely return. We found several great restaurants nearby, even though the hotel is remote, and its secluded hilltop setting gave us the tranquility and beautiful natural surroundings we wanted. The grounds were carefully maintained, and Nicola was warm, attentive, and helpful from the moment we arrived. His dedication to this family-run hotel showed in the personal service. Our room was impeccably clean, with a modern bathroom and a minibar stocked with refreshments that we enjoyed after exploring the area. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, especially the homemade cakes. This retreat in the Tuscan countryside made for a relaxing stay, and Nicola's care made it memorable. We can't wait to return, thank you so much!
