Villa Sassolini, The Originals Collection

We came hoping to switch off, and we did. We felt looked after the whole time, and Andrea was a legend, so tuned in it was almost as if he could read our minds. The property and its views are breathtaking. Gianmarco was lovely, enthusiastic, and really interesting. We wish we’d had longer on this visit. Hugo (French Bulldog) deserves a mention too, for his charm and good looks!

Our room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was so calm and quiet in its tiny village setting. The staff were wonderful and the food delicious. It’s a stunning place, and the best stay I’ve had in any country I’ve visited. Five stars plus. I’d highly recommend it for a couples retreat.

The views were stunning, and the villa was such a peaceful place to spend our six nights. The owners were amazing, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant team went above and beyond to make good vegetarian meals, and breakfast was very good too. We visited off season, so the spa area was closed. I’d love to come back when it’s open. No complaints from us.

We used the hotel as our base for cycling and visiting the larger towns around Tuscany, and had a fantastic time. The look is really tasteful, everything was clean and worked well, and the pool and shared sitting areas were great. After long days on the bike, though, we wished the steam shower and hot tub had been warmer. Still great value.
