Locanda Gli Ulivi

We only had two nights here on a short trip through Italy, but it was such a great stay. From our room at Locanda Gli Ulivi, up in the hills of Montebudello, we could enjoy the lovely view. The room seemed brand new, had everything we needed, and it all worked perfectly. We arrived at the end of October, so sadly didn’t get to try the lovely big outdoor pool. On our first night we had dinner at the Locanda’s "Osteria Clo' Filomena". The atmosphere was lovely and rustic, and the food was fantastico. The owner and everyone on the team were so friendly and helpful, and the service and quality were amazing. Breakfast over the next days was just as good. If you’re after an authentic, relaxing holiday in Italy, this is a great place to stay. Mille grazie per tutti, 🙏 ❤️ We’ll definitely come back for a longer visit in summer. A very relaxing place, with a lovely pool area and a great view. The breakfast was nice and had a good variety, and the rooms were spacious and pleasant. My only small complaint is that the beds weren’t the most comfortable. Otherwise, all good. A beautiful locanda in the heart of Emilia Romagna.

The room, with its new bathroom, and the restaurant both impressed us, and the staff were wonderful too. We’re staying two nights in the family room and everything has gone beyond what we expected. The view is lovely as well. It’s a great spot for a stopover, or for a few restful days while visiting Bologna or Modena.

The owner and staff were incredibly helpful, and the location and views were incredible. Walter even helped plan a proposal before we arrived. He suggested things for us to do, took delivery of flowers, and arranged them in the room while we were out on a picnic he prepared from the restaurant for the proposal. They made the trip really special for us, and I’m grateful to everyone. The food was amazing, the best we had all holiday. It’s proper, authentic Italian cooking, and you can tell they care about it. I loved the truffle steak so much I ordered it twice, and everything else was 10/10 too. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
