Orizzonti del Castelluccio Sole e Luna

We visited in early June through a hotel and park package for Cavallino Matto, so it was still pre-season and very quiet. The views and setting are beautiful, and we enjoyed the pool. The apartment and reception building felt dated and could use a little renovation, though that didn't spoil our stay. I'd recommend coming, and visiting Sassetta and Monteverdi Maritimo while you're here.

Really good food and a great pool. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The location is remote, but that gives it a quiet, bucolic feel, and there's a lovely pool for summer. We even spotted a fox looking for food. The patio is charming too. Inside, there's a nice living room with a sofa bed, a double bedroom, a big bathroom, and a very small bunk room. That room is uncomfortable for tall people, especially on the top bunk or in hot weather. The kitchen is well equipped overall, though a few things could be better.

We brought our two dogs and found the place peaceful, away from the crowds, and well suited to kids or pets. The apartment was spotless and cool enough that we slept under a blanket. Two outdoor areas made it easy to eat and barbecue outside, morning or evening. The owner was lovely and always there with advice or help. She greeted us with fresh fruit and a good bottle of Tuscan red wine. The shared pool was beautiful and clean. We had a really nice stay, highly recommend.
