I left feeling that the place had lost what made it special. Turning a successful old-school trattoria into a stylish modern restaurant has taken away that warm, family-like atmosphere. My wife and I were also made very uncomfortable when the waitress, who is one of the owners, rolled her eyes at us several times. For a restaurant in a part of Italy famous for salami, the salami we were served was unbelievably tough, like saddle leather. Owners, take this as a wake-up call and make changes before it’s too late. I hope you don’t answer this the nasty way you’ve answered other negative reviews. Look at what happened to the once-fantastic Trattoria Cerri. Good luck, you’ll need it.

The food was great.

It’s a handy base for exploring Cremona and the nearby area, whether you’re staying at the hotel or just stopping in for lunch or dinner. The service was excellent, the food good, and the atmosphere both refined and warm. The menu has something for different tastes, and I found a good range of options for my gluten intolerance, though the place isn’t certified for celiacs. There’s a generous wine list, liqueurs, and a very good bar. It also works well for people passing through for work. I like to call it an inn, and it’s named after a thought and the music of the right-minded. Simona can tell you that story.

We were there with our athletics team for the Italian Half Marathon Championships in Cremona. The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff were friendly. We ate well, and the kitchen was happy to handle some of our specific dietary needs. Breakfast was self-service and ready earlier than planned. That gave the hotel guests a lovely chance to share a moment together. I also appreciated how much trust the managers showed: they let a whole gang of kids run around the place, with our bill already paid the day before. You don’t come across that often, if ever.
