Hotel delle Rose Terme & Wellnes Spa

The staff, from the room maids to the waiters and receptionists, were very helpful and ready to meet most requests. The food was delicious, well prepared, and had a good range of choices. Having the spa baths in the hotel building, with facility access from 3 to 7 p.m., made the stay even more worthwhile. The hotel and location were beautiful and spotlessly clean, with hand gel in all the most strategic spots, though some parts could use refurbishing. We had a great week.

The breakfast was good, though there wasn't much variety, and it only started after 7:30 a.m., which felt quite late. The pools and spa looked nice, but I didn't have time to try them. Access was only from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The hotel looks pleasant, but it's very old. Day staff were friendly and spoke English; the night staff only spoke Italian. My first room was tiny, with an ugly bathroom in yellow ceramics. Its shower was damaged and didn't work properly, the window faced an unattractive wall, and the shade was stuck. The replacement room was much better, though its bathroom ceiling had water damage and the shower water was only slightly warm.

I go often for a swim and some relaxation in the two pools, which are in the middle of the park. The thermal water is dense and really rich in mineral salts. There's a simple, relaxing atmosphere, with a steam bath, two Finnish saunas, and plenty of water jacuzzis. This is my favorite wellness center in the Parma area, and my five stars are for the center. I don't know about the hotel.

The food and spa were good, and our Groupon deal made it very good value for the money 💰. At full price, probably not so much. We had an excellent experience at hotel delle rose.
