The hotel is inside the walls, in a peaceful and beautiful spot. The owner is nice and willing to help with whatever's needed. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, everything without a fault. Warm recommendation.

Dario was an excellent host. He made sure we had a pleasant stay and shared good tips for the local area. He even invited us to a nearby winery, though sadly we didn't have time to go. For our first stay around Lake Garda, we thought Antico Borgo, set in a castle or fort, was a cool find. The room wasn't up to the standard we normally expect. It was mostly dirty, with thick dust in the corners and under the bed, which hadn't been cleaned. There was limescale all over the shower and on the showerhead. The room also felt unfinished, with rough edges and paint that didn't cover the previous layer on the walls. Breakfast felt like food left over from the restaurant the day before. It was dry and unpleasant, and there was no cheese or meat to go with the bread. On balance, an average place to stay.

We found the hosts extremely accommodating, and the hospitality was outstanding. The beds were comfy, the spaces stylish, and breakfast was amazing. A cozy place with good food.

A lovely, quiet lunch, with a refreshing glass of Lugana. The cheese and meat plate was delicious, especially the apricot jam.
