We were on a cycling tour and stayed for 2 nights. There’s plenty of bike storage in the garage, and the hotel is well set up for cyclists. The breakfast buffet was generous, with lots of variety, including fresh fruit and salad. Our room was roomy and well appointed, with a fabulous view of the cliffs to the east. There are several places to relax, some with TVs. The bar has a friendly feel, plenty of seats, and is close to the garden.

This review is about the “old” part, as there’s also a “new” section. The rooms are simple, and breakfast is the same every day. Since it calls itself a sport hotel, some creative room decorations or a welcome energy drink or water could make an extra difference. The pool and breakfast outside are nice, though, and it’s a nice hotel with room to be more.

Sky, the friendly dog, kept the kid entertained. It’s family friendly, with a nice garden and pool, and our room was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. Fantastic hotel, and we’d happily come back.

A lovely quiet garden and a perfect pool make this a really nice place to spend time. It’s also the best place to set out for an MTB or road bike ride.
