St. Vigilhof

Our host Lukas was incredibly helpful when we ran into car trouble during our two-night stay. He even organized a local mechanic with an OBD2 device to check it, and thankfully the problem was minor. The service was outstanding. We were exploring Bolzano and Merano, both about 20 minutes away, and the clean, spacious rooms were ideally situated. Highly recommended!

Getting to Bolzano takes 17 minutes by car, which is handy if you’d rather avoid the high prices of staying in the city. Our apartment was comfortable and so clean, absolutely immaculate. The kitchen was well equipped, including a fast electric stove. The owner was also very helpful and accommodating.

We had a spacious two-bedroom apartment with a lovely view, a palm tree right in front of our balcony, and apple orchards all around. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a moka pot, which was great with our own ground coffee in the morning. There was also a free capsule espresso machine in the hallway. A few things could be better. The towels smelled as if they’d taken too long to dry, even when we arrived. Spreading them out after washing might help them dry faster in the sun. The mattresses were quite worn, and we woke up with sore backs. It would also be nice to have separate recycling bins for paper and plastic.

We had a lovely time in this charming place. The apartment was clean and welcoming, even for our two four-legged friends, who had a sofa of their own! The location is great and the atmosphere very peaceful. The garden is nicely furnished and seems like it’d be great to enjoy fully in the warmer months. Highly recommended for a visit to Merano or Bolzano.
