A Casa di Claudia

The location was excellent for getting around Naples, especially with Via Toledo so close. The room was also soundproof, apart from the door: I could hear people on the stairs and neighbors coming and going. The kitchenette had one electric burner and basic things like plates and glasses, but no dish sponge. The mini fridge froze things left inside. There were plenty of problems with the fixtures and room: stains on the bedspread, a loose toilet seat that shifted when I sat down, a shower head that leaked everywhere, plaster falling from the ceiling, and a water-swollen toilet door that wouldn't close, with its frame coming loose. I contacted the woman who checked us in as soon as we arrived and asked to have the toilet seat and shower head replaced. Only the shower head was changed, and the replacement was meant for accessible toilets. It still leaked because it had no rubber seals. The room was decent apart from all that.

The room was dirty and miserable, with shabby, very uncomfortable beds. Most of the items were broken. There was no shower door and no toilet paper.

Such a shame, because the location is lovely and the room itself is spacious and clean. It felt neglected, though, with a moldy smell and lots broken: taps, beds, baskets, hangers, sockets, sinks, and more. Breakfast was included in the price but wasn't provided. A little care from the owner would be enough.

Apart from the location, everything was terrible. I was speechless.
