The air conditioning worked, but that was about it. I feel bad saying this, but I can't recommend the B&B. It fell short in so many ways: no tissues or cups, Wi-Fi that might as well have been a string and a can, and just one coat hanger with a bar completely out of reach. Towels were sporadic. We were meant to get breakfast vouchers and did receive them, but the café was closed. Two stars was already very generous.

People in the Sanita neighborhood were hospitable and kind to tourists, and would give directions whenever we needed them. It felt safe, too. I had a wonderful time at B&B da Maria, which is in an excellent location. Vittorio and his staff are fantastic, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I returned from Naples on Thursday, May 4th.

It was our first time in Naples, and we got to experience everyday Neapolitan life with all the comforts we could ask for. People were friendly and courteous everywhere. The food was always satisfying, even if touristy, and we visited monuments for free. We'll be back.

I only stayed one night, and found it clean, welcoming, and comfortable, with excellent hospitality. The room was small but recently renovated, and the bathroom was modern and super clean, though it had no window. The room's window faced a wall, so the view wasn't great. A blanket and a few extra pillows would help accommodate different needs. The area is quiet, but the road leading there is a bit dark and rarely used, especially at night. The building entrance and stairs are somewhat dated.
