**After the owner’s reply:** The owner apparently says he’ll report us to the police, which I see as an empty threat. He was upset that we arrived over an hour late for daytime check-in because the car rental company hadn’t prepared the car on time. We kept him updated, and he was rude about it. We also parked in a legal free spot after asking, and left the car there for a week without any problem. He objected when we questioned sending our whole family’s ID copies by unsecured email. He gave us no documents explaining how our sensitive data would be stored, shared, or deleted, which is actually unlawful. Finally, he complained that we didn’t take out the trash bag on the last day. We would have done that as a courtesy, but departure cleaning is something the owner is paid to arrange. I can’t recommend dealing with these people. We stayed in May. The apartment looked okay inside, but it was humid and had no ventilation. The windows faced a busy, noisy street, so they couldn’t be opened. The owner tried to charge us €15 a day for a private parking lot, even though free parking was 20 metres from the apartment. The street and neighborhood looked awful, with rubbish everywhere and dog poo in the middle of the footpath. Not a pretty view.
