I wouldn’t recommend this place. The reception was bad and stupid. There’s no living room, just a small kitchen, and the men’s bathroom is really tiny. It looked a bit clean, but I think that may only be because they cleaned after a huge bedbug infestation. Napoli is an amazing city, but it’s getting harder and harder to find an affordable, decent place to sleep.

I was shocked to find out this was a 12-person bedroom, since booking didn’t make that clear. The beds were comfortable, and I liked the renovated kitchen, but the bathrooms were awful. There are two, one for women and one for men, and the men’s one is only a quarter the size of the women’s. It had no bidet and no sink. There wasn’t room for large suitcases either. There’s storage if you have small things, but otherwise your belongings will be in the middle of the room.

Good value for the low price, and a solid choice for budget travel. Napoli Centrale is nearby, the hostel has lockers and video surveillance, and a receptionist is available for most of the day. The bedroom was clean and the AC worked. The bathroom floor could sometimes be cleaner, but overall the price and quality were a good match.

I was nervous at first because of the reviews, but I really enjoyed my three nights here. The owner was kind and helpful, and the price was very affordable. I paid for the first night through booking, then the owner offered me the regular low counter price for the other two nights, which would have been too expensive otherwise. During the heat wave, the AC stayed on all night. One especially hot day, it was on during the daytime too. The room was very clean, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and spacious. It’s under a 10-minute walk to the train station, though walking to the city centre takes a while. The metro makes it close. I highly recommend it!
