Naples Experience hostel

I stayed at 16 hostels on this trip, and this was easily my favorite. The shared spaces were lovely for sitting in the sun and meeting people, and the staff made everyone feel welcome, polite, and well looked after. They served tasty pasta for free each night, though we could cook for ourselves using the provided utensils and fridge. The rooms were fine, with comfy beds, and some had balconies. Lockers are outside the rooms, a little inconvenient but not a big deal. The station is a bit of a walk, but they run a free shuttle morning and evening. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Naples.

What stayed with me most was the atmosphere. The staff seemed to care about making my visit enjoyable, instead of treating me like just another backpacker passing through. They were warm and thoughtful, and the hostel put on game nights, offered a free simple dinner, and ran a complimentary shuttle. The rooms were clean and nice, and it felt like I got more than I paid for. The location wasn't ideal, but there was a free ride to the main train station in the mornings and evenings. One of the best hostels I've stayed at, and I'll definitely return.

The home-cooked pasta each evening was my favorite part. It was lovely sitting outside and sharing dinner with everyone, and if pasta's not your thing, there's pizza for 3,50€ just around the corner. The staff were all so kind and helpful, and I felt welcome. They also arrange nice activities and have a free shuttle. The beds and bathrooms were very good too. I'd absolutely come back.

I really disliked this place. Some staff were rude and unkind, and the neighborhood didn't feel safe. The location was bad, with nowhere nearby to buy anything, and the dinner they provided wasn't good. They said they'd arrange a ride from the station, then told us they had stopped doing that a few days earlier. After 11 pm, guests had to stay in their rooms, even the kitchen was off limits. At 9 in the morning the cleaners came in noisily, threw away bottles we were still using, and only cleaned the floor.
