B&B Bernini 20

The service was great, and the owner was so nice. Everything was perfect.

In Vomero, this lovely B&B is right in the heart of things. The subway is only 20 meters away, and the funicular is 50 meters away.

The noise was the main problem during our three-night stay. Cars and scooters went by all night, sounding as if they were right beside us, even though we were on the third floor with a room facing an inner courtyard. The location was excellent, but the rooms were only just adequate, and the breakfast room wasn't big enough for all the guests.

We were told we couldn't check in between 1 and 4:30 pm. It made sense once we arrived: the building's doorman handled our check-in, and did it very well. The B&B is right in the center of Vomero, just a few meters from the funicular and Piazza Vanvitelli. The room was fairly spacious, simply furnished but thoughtfully done, and clean. Still, the stay had its snags. It was cold outside, around 8°C (46°F), but the heating only came on in the evening, so we had to use the air conditioning. The blinds didn't slide properly when we lowered them at bedtime, and light came through. There was no way to darken the bathroom window, and the shower looked rather shabby and had low water pressure. For us, the price seemed to reflect the location more than the overall quality.
