For the price, it was fine overall. Breakfast was coffee and a croissant with jam or chocolate. It wasn’t bad, but the woman picked it up and sliced it with her bare hands, touching the whole croissant, so I personally couldn’t eat it. The plastic curtain on the balcony wouldn’t open, so getting out meant crawling on my knees. Staff didn’t speak English at all.

I wouldn’t recommend booking here. We’d reserved a room with a private bathroom, but found the bathroom out on the landing, meaning we had to cross the whole hotel to get to it. The listing said private bathroom without mentioning that location. We couldn’t have a conversation with the owner, and when we asked to switch rooms, none were available. The bathroom was in very poor condition. The showerhead didn’t work properly and couldn’t be fixed to the wall for showering. Breakfast was disappointing too, a reheated frozen pain au chocolat with coffee and milk in a plastic cup.

For €68 on a Friday night in early June, I felt this little place was good value. It was clean and quiet at night, with basic rooms that suited me fine. There’s a fridge, which is a plus, and the view from the botanical garden is really nice. The lady I met was smiling and very nice, and that matters to me. No bad surprises.

I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms looked nicer than the photos. They were comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful. The bathroom was separate from my room, but that didn’t bother me. B&B Rosy is a great place to stay for the price.
