Gram Suites

Max was a star during both of our family visits to Naples. He was welcoming, friendly, and thoughtful, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We had a hire car, and he suggested a nearby garage for parking. He also arranged a taxi to the port, and when we arrived late on our second visit, he left the keys for us to pick up from the bar downstairs. Gram Suites sits on the seafront, with marvellous views over the bay of Naples. The rooms and suites are stylish and well equipped. Our family of four stayed twice and used five rooms and suites in total, and every one was great. Central Naples and the port for ferries to Capri and the other islands are a short taxi ride away, with plenty of places to eat nearby as well. We'd wholeheartedly recommend Gram Suites and would happily stay again when we're back in Naples.

We loved being right in the middle of lively Naples and stayed in the Junior Suite with Balcony and Sea View. We checked in ourselves late, picking up the keys from inside Bar Napoli just below the suite. It serves cocktails, food, espresso, baked goods, and pretty much whatever else you need around the clock. Max was a lively, hospitable host who took time to get to know us and tell us about Naples. The room has funky decor, all the basics, and a stocked fridge, though it was kept decently rather than perfectly. Highly recommended.

For our honeymoon, my wife and I stayed at Gram Suites. The junior suite had a stunning view, and we really appreciated how welcoming and kind the host was, along with his helpful local suggestions. The room's cleanliness was a letdown, especially in the bathroom. The shower wouldn't drain properly, so we had to rinse, switch off the water to keep it from flooding, soap up, then turn it on again. Hair from previous guests was still on the bathroom tiles, towels, and even the pillows, which made the place feel less clean than we'd expected. We still enjoyed our time in Naples and are grateful for the hospitality.

The location and view are the one good thing about this guest house. The rooms are basic and not very clean, and it seems the hot water runs out after one shower. We also had trouble with parking. The lot suggested by the hotel wouldn't take cards, and because it was the weekend, all the banks nearby were closed. We asked if we could pay the hotel by card so they could give us cash, but they weren't helpful.
