Good! 👍

My first impression was a bad one. I came in as a customer, but the man with glasses at reception was rude, so I left. The staff came across as rude and unhelpful, and I wouldn’t recommend going there.

The common room tables weren’t cleaned properly. We ate pizza there once, and crumbs were still on the tables the next day and the day after. Staff often seemed confused or annoyed when we asked things, and generally came across as unwelcoming and unprofessional. Breakfast was barely there: one croissant per person, water, a juice carton that ran out once and had to be refilled, or coffee, plus snacks like Ringo or Baiocchi. When I asked for hot tea, I was told they didn’t serve it. Housekeeping was inconsistent too. Sometimes a towel was missing, and toilet paper was just left sitting on top instead of being put in place. The only pillow option was low and uncomfortable, with no alternative available. We also found holes in some blankets and bedspreads, as the photo shows. If all you need is a bed and bathroom, it’s fine. I don’t see what makes this a 3-star hotel.

We’ve stayed here several times and have always found the rooms clean. The hallways smell nice, and the housekeeping trolleys are always around for sanitizing rooms between guests. The reception team are discreet, courteous, kind, and helpful. You can also buy drinks and sweet or savory snacks at competitive prices. Its spot across from the subway is strategic, with the city center maybe five minutes away by car, and it also feels private and safe from prying eyes. The atmosphere is discreet and makes for a pleasant stay. Our one tiny quibble is the Monroe-themed blanket, which is just a matter of personal taste. We’re very close to 5 stars. Well done, guys!

The hot tub was broken, and filling it took about an hour and a half even though the room was only available for two hours. When we finally switched it on, black bits of something came out and there was a sewer smell. We turned it off straight away and left. That cost us 50 euros, and when I complained at reception, the man said he couldn’t offer any discount. I’ll never go back.
