The Church bed & breakfast Naples

From the front door, you can walk straight into the sights of Naples. The Church sits in the heart of old Naples, in an old palazzo, and its rooms have tasteful decor with a personal feel. Art and creative photography on the walls make the place feel like someone’s home. There’s a shared space and terrace where you can browse the owner’s varied music collection. Getting up to the top of the building takes a climb, but it’s a charming B&B, and a nice place to return to after wandering around the city.

The place is wonderfully quiet, and the people there made us feel very welcome. They were keen to help us plan our time in Naples and offered lots of useful suggestions. We’ll stay here again when we return.

We loved our time at the Church and in Naples, and plan to come back. The main drawback is the five flights of stairs, a consequence of the building’s 14th-century design and something you’ll encounter around this ancient city. Our balcony was a favorite, lovely for breakfast and romantic dinners. Inside, the room is clean, stylishly minimal, and has what you need to stay cool during a 35c summer. The owners call the place an island of silence amid Naples’ chaos, and that felt exactly right. We stayed five nights in the heart of the Greek District in the Historic Centre. The Church is also well placed for trips to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and capri. Naples’ busy streets lead to the port, beach front, and train station, all a short walk away.

We had a special room with its own terrace overlooking the old town. It’s an authentic, charming place in a perfect location, with a huge communal terrace and a great host. They were also good at arranging airport pickup.
