Nettuno Hotel

For the price, this was excellent value, even though it's certainly not a high-end place. I spent two nights here on 12th August. My small single room had dated furnishings but was clean, air conditioned, and had a shower, safe, small TV and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast was a simple continental meal served on the roof terrace. The hotel occupies the fourth and fifth floors of a residential block, with a roof terrace too. There is a lift, though you first have to climb one flight of stairs to reach it. Reception and my room were on the fourth floor, and the staff there were friendly. The hotel is a few metres from a taxi stand, a short walk from Univerista Metro station on Line 1 and five minutes on foot from Porto di Massa. From the airport I took the Alibus to the port for Eur5, then walked to the hotel.

We were charged extra for breakfast even though we'd already paid our usual travel agency for the room and breakfast. They also charged for a second coffee at breakfast. Credit cards weren't accepted.

The hotel was very clean, breakfast had fresh hot pastries and great coffee, and it was easy to get around from here. There's an elevator too. The staff were amazing, especially the lovely francesca, who was always smiling and kind and helped with every question and request.

Good value for the price. Right in central Naples, with a 24-hour reception and a comfortable bed with memory foam pillows. The room was clean and quiet. Just right if all you need is somewhere to sleep in Naples.
