I love Naples B&B

Rosanna was really helpful, and the rooms were clean and spacious. It’s about two blocks from Garibaldi station.

Rossana, the owner, was very kind and gave us all the information we needed to explore the city. We were five adults and three children, and she let us have the whole accommodation. We stayed three days, and the place was very clean, well maintained, and had every comfort. Everything was TOP.

The host was so welcoming that my disappointment eased a lot. I’d say about 80% regret became 50%. I’d booked at the last minute after my previous host let me go, and right after I booked, she messaged to say she was stuck in traffic and when she’d arrive. This was much better than the previous place, and it showed me that Naples has some positive sides too. The host also checked in on WhatsApp, using Google Translate to communicate in Chinese, and suggested nearby sightseeing routes and restaurants. The neighborhood has plenty for everyday needs, with supermarkets, restaurants, a shopping street, and a market. The train station is close, just to its right and across the street. At 9 p.m. it seemed fairly safe, and I saw no homeless people, perhaps because of the ongoing heavy rain. The room smelled nice and the bathroom was nice, but it was separate, reached through a shared hallway. Soundproofing was poor, and I could hear banging against the wall while I showered. There’s an elevator, which costs 10 points when the doorman is on duty and is free at other times. The room also had a small fridge and kettle, free coffee and tea, and bottled water and cola for 1 euro each, which you can return to the host if you don’t want them. I booked a room for four for two days through Booking.com for 210 euros. I was a little disappointed by the value: it had windows but no view, no en-suite bathroom, no kitchenette, and no breakfast. Overall, I’d rate it 8 out of 10, with 6 points for the kind, welcoming host and 2 for the room. The rest of the trip was rough. I came for Pompeii but was turned away on the first day. Dragging my luggage over cobblestones was a struggle, and my shoes even came undone. At the door, the administrator said the building wasn’t for rent. I contacted the B&B host, who said that wasn’t the address and the real one was a kilometer away. I spent the whole day sorting it out. On the weekend, there were no rooms left around Toledo or the prices were sky-high. The next day I braved a thunderstorm to wait for the Pompeii train, which was delayed by more than 40 minutes. I was worried I might not get in even if I reached there, so I had to hurry to my next plan: the Egyptian Pavilion on floor -1 of the museum was under maintenance. Heavy rain and fog continued, and I missed the night view of Castel Sant'Emo. I went back to the B&B and ate at Xiao Lei's Chinese restaurant.

Rossana is fantastic. I stayed with two other girls, and she made us feel at home right away, reassuring us about everything. She was incredibly kind and even let us come up before check-in so we wouldn’t be stuck with our bags for a few hours. The B&B is bright, welcoming, and clean, just steps from the central station. The quality for the price is excellent. We’ll definitely come back, and I recommend it 100%.
