Il Grattacielo b&b

The coffee bar and little kitchenette in the shared room were handy extras, and our modern double room had every comfort plus a stunning sea view. We only stayed one night, but the location would make a longer visit easy: the main attractions are walkable, the metro is right nearby, and there are plenty of parking garages for people arriving by car. It's on the 11th floor of a skyscraper in the city center, and the value for money was excellent. We'll definitely return for longer. Highly recommended!

The room was spacious, had a beautiful view, and was just a few steps from Via Toledo. Breakfast was a letdown. It was served at a bistro rather than a bar, the croissant choices were limited, and they looked as if they'd been made the day before. The owner had promised gluten-free breakfast, but none was available. We had paid for three breakfasts, including one at a bistro that was closed, then after seeing how things went on the first morning, we chose another bar for the other two. The owner at least deducted the tourist tax since breakfast was already paid for, but we still lost time waiting because the bistro didn't open until 8. With so many bars in Naples, I'd skip the breakfast booking and eat elsewhere.

Right by Toledo metro station, this B&B is a convenient base in central Naples. The neighborhood has traditional restaurants, supermarkets, and bars with Neapolitan treats, and the rooms are roomy, very clean, and comfortable. The price is affordable, too. My one gripe is that the toiletries could have been cleaned and replaced more carefully.

We had the room with the yellow wall, with lovely views of Castel Nuovo and Mount Vesuvius. It's only a few meters from the city center and Toledo metro station. The owner was very kind and let us keep using the room for almost the whole day after checkout because we needed it. Cleanliness was an issue, though: dust behind the fridge and inside the bedside lamp, plus a dirty towel that hadn't been changed in four days. There was also a handkerchief wedged into the upper window, and I couldn't tell why or how long it had been there.
