Leone Camere D'Autore

Chiara, the receptionist, was a real angel and helped with anything we needed. We stayed in room 2001 at Leone Camere, which was clean and luxurious, with even a Whirlpool. The air conditioning worked quietly and really well, and the little balcony was a nice spot to watch Naples street life. Great choice. Mille grazie, Chiara, ci torno ancora! Best regards, Mario

The location is hard to beat. The promenade is five minutes away on foot, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, bars like flannagans, and ice cream places like Menella just a few minutes away. Breakfast had a good spread. We did run into a few problems, though. It took us a while to work out where the entrance was, since it’s hidden in plain sight with no proper sign. There’s no elevator, which is manageable if you only have to bring bags in and out once, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a large group with lots of luggage. The room layout felt odd and disorganized. It was reasonably clean, but the liquid soap ran out on our second day and wasn’t replenished. The biggest inconvenience was that the sink water didn’t drain properly. After paying €€€ for the property, that’s the least service I’d expect.

Napoli is beautiful and there’s so much to see, so make sure you give yourself a few days. Leone Camere D’autore made our stay easy: the owners were polite, friendly, and helpful, and the room was clean, eclectic, and furnished with character. We had the jacuzzi room, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and coffee were a delight. The neighborhood felt safe and was close to the city center, taxi stand, banks, shops, and food stalls. We’d gladly stay at Leone Camere D’autore again and recommend it.

The art around the hotel, including in the adjoining gallery, made the stay in Napoli feel magical. Leone is centrally located, and the rooms are beautiful, clean, and affordable. Breakfast was fabulous, and the hosts made my first trip to Naples truly wonderful. They were kind and helpful.
