Lionora BB

It was so quiet that I couldn't hear other guests, except when they left in the morning and I was already awake. They respected my request not to service the room during my stay. The location was easy to find and get into, and the Wi-Fi was good. The room had lots of storage and hanging space. Street noise was well blocked by the French doors, at least with my sound machine running. The bed foundation was extra noisy. In the bathroom, the sink drained slowly and leaked, the faucet was hard to turn on, and the shower head was clogged. The shower did wet most of the bathroom floor, though it stayed away from the sink and fixtures like the bidet and toilet. I'd absolutely stay again.

The sink drained very slowly, and the elevator was so tiny it was difficult to get luggage inside. The room wasn't especially clean either, and the sofa had dark, greasy-looking marks. At check-in, the elderly woman managing the place, who seemed to be the owner, spoke aggressively and swore at me and my daughter in Italian in our room. We had booked and paid for two separate beds, but she told us we could only sleep in one of them and tried to charge extra for bed linen. It was a first for me, and we felt unsafe in the apartment.

B&B LIONORA is right in the heart of Palermo, in a safe neighborhood and a secure building, with an elevator. We had a spacious, comfortable room with good light and a great shower. There was a kettle and tea, and we could leave our luggage in storage before check-in. The owner wasn't very fluent in English, but she was kind and responsive, and helped us book a taxi to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were exhausted after arriving at bnb Lionora very late, and they welcomed us with plenty of cold water, which was exactly what we needed. The room turned out to be a lovely surprise, tastefully decorated and very new, with a beautiful bathroom too. Breakfast was very good. Great value for money.
