Los Mochileros hostel

The bathrooms were always clean, though a few could use some investment, like having a shelf for your things. The rest of the hostel worked really well for us. It’s a great base for exploring Naples, with clean rooms, comfy beds, and easy check-in and checkout. The garden was lovely for sitting outside and playing cards, and we enjoyed meeting other young travelers from around the world. Thanks to Massimo and the nice staff :)

A great, budget friendly hostel. Reception, especially Alex and Mimi, were really nice and helpful. It was lovely to have Nonna cook a free pasta meal, then eat together with the other travelers.

The hostel charged me 50€ for a second night in a dorm in Napoli. It feels like they’re trying to get as much money as possible out of tourists. The pub crawl was awful. We ended up at the emptiest, most expensive bars, and after waiting 30 mn for the guide to get back to us, we had to walk more than 10 minutes to the first bar because the shuttle dropped us in the wrong place. When I asked the receptionist for a refund and explained what happened, he refused. He condescendingly said the point was to walk between bars, making me feel like an idiot. A few moments earlier, that same man had entered the women-only dorm without knocking.

I had a ball here and would recommend it to anyone. The terrace is massive, and the free evening meal brings everyone together. They also run subsidized trips to Pompeii and Sorrento, have daily shuttles to and from the station, and the staff are great people. I wasn’t expecting much after reading some other reviews, and I don’t necessarily agree with the age limit. Still, this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.
