Maison Zazà

Lorenzo made us feel welcome and was always helpful. The apartment is a great size for two, has all the facilities, and is close to most things you'd need. There was a damp smell inside, though. The air conditioning helped a little, but it can get annoying if you're spending hours in the apartment. So get out and explore as much as you can.

The owner was helpful and always smiling. A really nice place in the heart of the historic center, and I'd definitely recommend it!

Lorenzo welcomed us warmly and was polite, enthusiastic, and happy to help with anything. He also deserves credit for the excellent food. Our stay at Maison Zazà was a 10, and if I return to Naples, I'd book again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone who asks. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. The apartment was modern, very clean, and well looked after, right in central Naples and close to plenty of bars, pizzerias, shops, and sights. There's lots to choose from. It's Naples, so noise comes with the city, but our place was on a quieter side alley with little traffic. It still had that old neighborhood feel, including the classic older neighbor looking out her window. I'd recognize the apartment by her, and knew our door was the one beside hers. It was the hospitality that really stood out. Lorenzo is young, easy to talk to, and looked after us so attentively. He showed us around the center and acted as both a history guide, he knows his stuff, and a food guide. We got to try proper Neapolitan dishes rather than tourist-trail food, and he pointed us to great places to eat. I've stayed in all sorts of places, from four-star hotels to log cabins, and rarely sleep in one place more than a night. I've never had hospitality like that. He really spoiled us. The apartment itself was on the small side. The rooms were comfortable but cramped, and might not suit larger people. I understand Lorenzo has at least one bigger apartment next door, so check with him before booking if space matters. My only complaint was the size. Even so, based on our stay and the other reviews, I'd book here again if I came back to Naples. I usually like trying new places, so that's not something I say often. This review is the least I can do after Lorenzo went out of his way for us. Enjoy your stay! 😉
