We’ve returned to this B&B during the Christmas season for three years now. It’s been a great experience, and I recommend it.

This place badly needs renovation. The rooms and furniture are shabby, the bed is broken, and the mattress feels like bubble wrap. The shower is tiny, the sink is miniature with barely any water pressure, the hairdryer costs €1, there’s mold in the bathroom, and paint is peeling from the walls. The online photos don’t show what the rooms are really like. Noise is relentless in the apartment, throughout the building, and out on the street. Even in March, there’s a street party every day until 5 a.m., and it’s loud during the day too. The outlets look like they’re from the 1960s, and hardly any work. The landlady sends a chaotic stream of pointless messages instead of giving all the information at once, along with promotional messages for services we didn’t need. That’s unprofessional. Breakfast is a joke, skip it and pay for breakfast at a nearby bar. It feels like a rip-off.

The street stays busy all night, but the new windows do a great job of keeping the sound out. Everything was spotlessly clean and the service was excellent. Breakfast or an Italian-style aperitif is included at a bar just steps away. The location is fantastic, and I’d stay again!
