Napoli Centrale

The hotel was comfortable and clean, with working air conditioning, helpful staff, and a good breakfast brought to the room. It was well run and reasonably priced. I wasn’t comfortable walking around the neighborhood alone after dark, so I stayed in. If you feel confident, you should be okay.

The room was clean and the internet was decent, but the shower and tap mixer never gave a steady temperature, just water that was too hot or too cold. We’d booked three nights for two through Expedia, then were told at arrival that only one person was covered. After more than an hour on the phone with Expedia, we paid another €36, not including breakfast. The lift also costs €0.10 each time you go up or down.

The bathroom fittings didn’t work properly, water clogged in the bathroom, and there was no heating. Breakfast wasn’t very good either. We had prepaid for two adults, and our booking email clearly said two, but they tried to charge us for one more person. After I called Expedia and waited an hour, they agreed to let us stay if we paid another €26. Nobody wants this kind of trick from hotel owners on vacation. Stay away.

Luca was warm and very helpful. The hotel was spotless and felt safe, right in the middle of the city, so it was easy to head out and explore. I’d recommend it.
