We had a room on the second floor, and there was an elevator. It was made up and cleaned daily, and the owner was friendly; we kept in touch on WhatsApp. Breakfast turned out to be what I'd later learn is a “typical Italian” croissant and coffee. The old-town location is excellent, with lots to see within walking distance and metro stops about 350 m away. We'd asked for a ride from the airport, but no taxi was there when we arrived. On WhatsApp, we were told our flight was delayed, though it hadn't been. The driver then asked us to wait 20 minutes for him, and we declined.

The room was clean and the staff were nice, and we had a good four-night stay, checking out on 12th Oct. You're near the train station, and five stops takes you into Naples city. Train tickets were available at reception for €1.50. If you're booking tours, check for train strikes first. They happen regularly in Italy and can leave you without public transport. The hair dryer was so weak that I'd tell ladies to pack their own. The pizza place just to the right as you leave the hotel was good. For pasta, keep walking past the train line to the junction at the top of the road, there's a place on the corner that's a must, though I can't recall its name. We also hired the hotel bikes for a day and rode along the coast. It was fun and adventurous, but definitely not for the faint-hearted. You get a taste of Naples traffic, including a few beeps and hand gestures, but the ride's worth it, with lovely little spots for coffee or a cocktail tucked away along the way. I loved Naples and hope to come back and explore more someday. For now, I'm off on more adventures around Europe. Have fun, and thanks for reading my book 😃

A clean room in central Naples, with easy check-in and check-out. The air-conditioning worked very well. It's an old building, though the rooms and interiors are new. There was complimentary coffee and tea, plus a nice small breakfast. There's an elevator, and parking is in an underground lot 150 m away, open 24 hours at a local price. Nothing to complain about.

We arrived late at night, but the owner still stayed to welcome us, and was very warm. We got a helpful explanation of how everything worked. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the air conditioning was much appreciated in summer. For breakfast, NovaNova has arrangements with several places and gives you coupons, so you can pick from the options. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it. 🙂
