O Vascetiello

Napoli’s street life was right outside, including that smell of freshly washed laundry. This tiny, cozy ground-floor apartment sits in the heart of old Naples, just a few minutes from Napoli sotteranea and Scappanapoli, and it’s hard to get closer to the sights. It was clean, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and there’s air conditioning and heating. The kitchen is small but has the essentials, enough for a short visit when there’s so much to try outside. Read the owner’s instructions before your stay. They were kind and replied straight away with clear directions. I’d stay at O'vascetiello again for a short trip to Napoli.

The "basso" was really welcoming and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. We could come and go on our own, and it only took a few steps to reach different parts of the city. We never met the owners, but they were available, though we didn't need to contact them. Maria deserves credit for keeping the house so clean. I highly recommend it.

Set on a side street just off Via dei Tribunali, this renovated apartment has the character of a Neapolitan home and the comforts needed for a short stay. There's a kitchenette with appliances, a double bed, and an armchair that turns into a sofa bed. The owner was very kind and helpful, and both arrival and departure can be handled independently. It works for one person, a couple, or a family with one child.

Before the stay, they replied to messages promptly. Afterward, I got silence, with no response to emails or texts. They asked for a deposit when I arrived, and a month later it still hasn't been returned, despite a string of trivial explanations. I don't want to get into the details. I won't report them to the police because I don't believe that would lead to anything. Beware of scams.
