The big wooden doors to the block are closed at night, which gave us a bit of peace from the noise outside. Getting in and out through the medieval-looking portcullis added to the authentic feel, with local residents living in the same block. We had a genuinely enjoyable two-night stay in Naples’ historic center. The front desk team were warm, welcoming, and informative. A few things to know: the apartment rooms are two levels up, with no lift. Inside, the sleeping area and toilet are on a loft level reached by a narrow staircase. Reception also isn’t open around the clock. Dante was the nearest subway stop we used, about a 10-15 minute walk through busy streets.

Our room had a window four meters high, and the hotel has lovely high ceilings. It was clean and comfortable. Be prepared for stairs, and parking costs £20 per day.

The apartment and the second floor inside it both take a lot of stairs to reach. The entrance and lobby may seem a little sketchy, though they work fine. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice, and I’d rate them 9/10. The staff were amazing, every one of them gets 12/10 from me. The location is right in the Historic Center, an easy 10/10. I’d recommend it for the center of naples.

The rooms were spacious and clean, but could use some more furniture. At 9am checkout, there was nobody on site, so I called the number on the business card. The owner wouldn’t help us get a taxi and said that was our responsibility. We ended up hauling our suitcases half a mile to the parking garage.

We had a great time here, and the staff took really good care of us. The place sits among lots of history and things to see, so getting around on foot was easy. It was handy to come back after shopping and drop off our bags. We’d love to return to Napoli and stay here again.
