It was a good place to dance, but only up to a certain point in the evening. After that, things went downhill. The music had nothing to do with a Caribbean night, and once the disco music started, I wished I’d left. I didn’t pay to hear that, and it gave me a big headache. Go if you want, but be aware that after a certain time you may not get what you paid for. If you’re looking to dance, there are other places with better music and less stress.
This was my childhood home until 1979. It hurts to see how enormous towers now obscure the natural beauty of the red bridges and ancient Roman aqueduct. The green space that used to stretch across the area has almost vanished, along with the beautiful fountains and Capomonte.
The area is very central, with public transport nearby, including trolleybus line 254 to Portici. There’s a large garage and supermarkets close by. The "Once Upon a Time in America" dance hall is a big weekend attraction.
