Porta Cerasa

We stayed at the Porta Cerasa in Naples from December 26th to 29th. The owner was kind and helpful even before we left, and that continued during our stay. The room was comfortable and had excellent bathroom products. It’s right in the heart of the Spanish Quarter, just a short walk from the city center. I’d book here again without hesitation.

Carla was quick to reply and happy to share ideas for enjoying Naples. The room felt brand new, snug, and thoughtfully furnished, with fresh water in the fridge and a little kettle for coffee or tea. It was tucked just off Via Toledo, so the spot was convenient but surprisingly peaceful. Breakfast at the bar in Galleria Umberto I was only a five-minute walk and came in generous, tasty portions. Highly recommend.

The room itself was pleasant and cozy, and the owner was lovely and helpful, even letting us store our bags. Being right downtown and close to Toledo metro is a real plus. Still, the room was tiny and had no soundproofing, so traffic and, especially, the neighbors kept us from sleeping well. The double bed was small too. Breakfast is at a café in the gallery, a nice setting, though the food wasn't anything special.

We were impressed by how helpful and friendly the host was, always around when we needed anything. The place is right in central Naples, within easy reach of the historic sights and attractions. For food, there are lots of good restaurants just a 2-5 minute walk away. The funicular is about five minutes on foot and takes you to Certosa e Museo di San Martino, where the views over the whole city are stunning. The port is around 10-15 minutes away by foot, handy for trips to nearby towns and islands. We went to Ischia and loved it. We had a perfect stay and would gladly come back soon. I highly recommend it.
