I had booked 26 days ahead, but the owner cancelled just 16 hours before check-in. He had contacted me the day before about my arrival time and said nothing about planning to cancel. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re comfortable with big risks and a lack of empathy.

At €65 a night, I found the price for such a tiny room absurd. I’ve been to Naples a hundred times, and for the same money I’ve booked apartments with a kitchen and a double bedroom around Via Toledo. I thought I’d reserved a double room, but got bunk beds in a room that wasn’t advertised. The mattresses were so hard I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. There’s an elevator, but you need a remote control that wasn’t included, so we had to climb two and a half floors, 78 steps. The owner only replies on WhatsApp and is never there in person. I think having someone on site is the first sign of a good B&B, and I’m not trying to be mean. I’ve travelled half the world. If I wanted a hostel, I’d pick the best one in Naples for €15 a night, not €65. But in Naples, as we all know, these things always happen because of a lack of information.

The owner called the day before our stay and said there was a mistake with the beds on the 11-bed room we booked through Booking.com. He lied about various errors and forced us to book an extra room for our upcoming trip with children. Booking.com customer service promised a refund on the final invoice, but nothing happened during our stay. We never saw or heard from the owner throughout the visit. He invoiced the undeclared payment to the young woman who welcomed us late at night. Avoid this scam. Above all, I have email proof.

We got a warm welcome from the manager, and the rooms were clean with all the necessary comforts, both in the rooms and common areas. The property is in an excellent spot near some of Naples’ most beautiful attractions and sights. We’ll definitely return!
