Rosy

The host was so friendly, and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the central station, and they even let us leave our luggage after checkout. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime, 10/10.

The best part was that the AC worked in the August heat. At 53 euros a night, though, I don’t think working air conditioning should count as a luxury. Elia, the man running the place, was helpful and gave us a big bottle of water and a map of the center. Still, we weren’t satisfied. The area felt dodgy, and the groups of four or five people standing in the streets could feel intimidating as a foreigner. Our three-bed room was on the fifth floor, a tough climb with a four-year-old and three suitcases. It wasn’t as quiet as we’d expected either. The outside doorbell kept ringing, people came through the narrow corridor late, and there was a constant shaking sound in our room, which I think came from the old building. The central station area may not be the best place to look for a cheap hotel.

The room was large and clean, with a beautifully tiled bathroom and pretty decor. We got friendly, helpful service when we arrived. It was excellent value and very convenient for Napoli Centrale Stazione.

The owner was nice and the room was in good shape, though the area seemed dangerous.
