Staying here gave me a chance to get a little closer to Italian life. You sleep in a refurbished old palace, and it was very clean, with air con and all the things we needed, like an iron and pots. There was even an Italian coffee machine, plus a hamper with pasta, passata and coffee, which was a lovely touch. The location is central, close to the duomo of san gennaro and spaccanapoli. The TV is in Italian, though some movies have English audio if you press the audio button. Francesca was at check-in, ready to answer questions and help with planning. Definitely worth a visit

A very nice hostel near the marina and hisorical center. And the pizza was fantastic, of course.

The neighborhood was a bit shabby, but the apartment was lovely. The stairs felt a little rickety, and the lift was really claustrophobic.
