The location was good, and we got a very friendly welcome. They were flexible about timing, but I still wouldn’t recommend the apartment for what we paid. The bathroom smelled strongly of sewer, and the odor reached the whole room. The room and bathroom weren’t very clean either: there was mold in the toothbrush holder and in the corners, and stains on the sheets. There were no bathroom supplies like toilet paper, and we could hear children crying through the paper-thin walls all day.

The hosts were attentive and replied within minutes. The accommodation was clean, with working air conditioning and WiFi. Cafés and restaurants are nearby, and it’s a 5-minute walk to the seafront promenade and 10 minutes to the metro. It’s on the 4th floor, up very steep stairs, with no lift. There’s no parking lot.

The host was easy to reach and accommodating, and everything matched the Booking.com description. It’s a lovely place, around the corner from the water and right across from a spectacular pizza place.

We were lucky to stay only one night in this nightmare. The building is run down, the rooms are in bad shape, and it’s up on the third floor with no elevator. A few minutes before check-in, the owner unprofessionally told us the air conditioning wasn’t working, despite the outside temperature being 38 degrees Celsius, and offered a €5 discount per room. Cleanliness was poor: dirty walls, dust and insects everywhere, and a strong damp smell. Absolutely avoid!
