The building is old, though the property itself isn’t bad, and it’s on the fourth floor with no lift. We stayed seven nights, but the room was cleaned only twice. The beds were uncomfortable, so I had to put the mattress straight on the floor to be able to sleep. The person who welcomed us gave me a quick explanation of the room, handed over the key, and insisted on collecting the tourist tax without giving me a receipt. Then, the day before we left, Booking.com messaged to ask whether I had actually stayed there, because their records showed no stay. Toledo Rose had not checked us in, so they wouldn’t pay the tourist tax. I asked several times for an invoice and never got one. They also managed to prevent me from leaving my negative opinion about the property on Booking.com. I was refunded 18€ for the lack of cleaning service, and that was all.

The rooms are modern and spacious, as advertised, but the apartment is on the fourth floor of a very old building, with several stairs to climb. With large suitcases, that’s something to prepare for. We found it hard to locate, even after checking with the staff, and walked from the train station. I’d definitely suggest taking the metro instead. See photos. I was shocked by the lobby and wouldn’t have booked if I’d had the full impression beforehand. Local people were just going about their usual business nearby. I shared my personal opinion, which everyone is entitled to, and was disappointed that the host chose to insult paying guests when reviews weren’t favorable. Travelling around the world might help broaden their horizons.

The rooms are cozy, modern, and comfortable, and we ended up staying three nights. We unexpectedly needed a fourth night, and they were kind and understanding, offered help, and kept in touch throughout. Carla welcomed us with a very kind, personal introduction and showed us around, explaining the location and the utilities. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

The location is great and it was clean, but the stairs are a real ordeal. They’re very uneven, and my wife got hurt when she fell.

You’re just a minute from via Toledo, and Giuvani was friendly and helpful. Great location, highly recommend!
