The location is good, and for the price the room is okay. It’s basic, but at least the AC worked. The damp smell was really strong in the room and on the bedding. Fortunately, there were spare pillows in the cupboard that smelled fine. The shared bathroom was okay, though the shower was very small. We only stayed one night, which was enough. Booking.com listed check-in as 15:00 to 23:30, so we thought arriving at 20:00 would be fine. But the entrance needed a code we hadn’t been given, and nobody was there to let us in. Luckily we had phone data and messaged the place through Booking.com. After getting no reply for a while, I WhatsApped the number listed on the Google location. They said they’d expected us earlier, though they hadn’t asked our arrival time or told us how to enter. They sent the code and we got inside. Maybe we were unlucky with our room, but it wasn’t a nice place to stay. I’m not sure I’d come back. The damp smell, including on the bedding, was overpowering. Three stars feels generous. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I’m being honest.

We loved our stay in Naples. The owners replied quickly to our messages and were very friendly when we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious, and being close to the train station was really useful. Highly recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. After checkout I left what I felt was a fair review, and the owner responded rudely and cursed at us because we’d left empty water bottles and a bag of rubbish in the room. There was nowhere to dispose of the rubbish, and I travel a lot, so I don’t see why cleaning the room should be a problem. The owners felt intrusive, rude, and uncivilized, and there was a tangible table in the room. The location was terrible, with dirt and a sense of danger everywhere. Even getting in was frustrating: the entry code and number were sent wrong several times, so we had to wait on arrival. I don’t recommend staying here if you don’t want to be treated rudely and disrespected for the money you pay.

The location is perfect, and Guiseppe is such a nice guy. Breakfast was awesome. Just keep in mind it’s not really a hotel with a reception.
