Garden Hotel

I stayed in August and only just got around to writing this. I was unsure because of the reviews, but the price and central location persuaded us to book. The room was small but very clean, serviced daily, and had what we needed, including a fridge, towels, and toiletries. The real surprise was our huge private terrace with a beautiful view over the city and mountains. It was very hot, so the sun loungers, outdoor shower, and umbrellas made it lovely to sit outside and watch the street life. If you want quiet, it may not suit you. We enjoyed soaking up the real Italian streets from the sun, then watching the sunset over the city. The area can feel edgy after dark, but if you’re used to travelling and stay aware of your surroundings and belongings, it’s like any busy city. We didn’t stay out late. Transport links are nearby, along with hundreds of great restaurants, little bars, boutiques, and street traders. There’s no tea or coffee in the room, but coffee was £1 at the small bar downstairs. The lift took annoyingly long to go up and down. I wouldn’t recommend the area for families, but as a couple we had a great time.

It’s well priced and close to the central train station. I always stay here when I’m in Napoli.

The staff were the most capable and professional I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and the receptionist was especially welcoming and helpful. Our room was airy, very clean, and had lots of nice amenities, including a large, comfortable bed that made for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and really good. We stayed a few nights, and this is now our favorite in Naples. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, fairly clean and close to the city center, but they weren’t generous with soap and shampoo. We had to ask more than once to get enough for a proper shower. There was only a shower with no wire, which made it really awkward for women to rinse off.
