The pool, spa, and games room were well looked after, and made things more enjoyable for us and the children. Still, we left disappointed after spending quite a lot, and hope the hotel improves how it handles relationships with guests, especially people travelling with pets. Our dog has been travelling with us for 11 years without trouble, but scratched a door during this stay. We accepted responsibility right away. The hotel was reluctant at first, then asked us to pay the estimated amount immediately when we checked out. We were able to protect ourselves through our insurance. After that, the atmosphere changed. We were told not to leave the dog in the room, a rule we hadn’t been told about before, and the staff seemed distant and unwelcoming. At breakfast and dinner, we were placed at a table in the bar, outside the main dining room and without a tablecloth. We felt like unwanted guests. There was another uncomfortable moment at the spa: someone slipped getting into the hot tub and water spilled, but we felt the staff assumed our children had caused it. It’s unpleasant to spend a holiday feeling watched or judged. The room itself was clean and well maintained, but the beds were uncomfortable, with very soft, low mattresses and hard pillows. The staff kindly replaced the pillows. We were less reassured by the bedding: there was no mattress protector, only a thin sheet between the mattress and the sheet, and it didn’t cover the full length of the bed. The carpet didn’t seem thoroughly clean either, and a slipper under the bed stayed there for our entire visit. We were there during the first week of September, excited for our first holiday in South Tyrol, but several things fell short. The food service was one of them. The appetizer buffet felt repetitive, and the main dishes often lacked local tradition. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment, with very few desserts and no typical local cakes. Not even an apple in the land of apples.

We’re already looking forward to another holiday at Ploseblick. The family runs this cosy little hotel with real care, and you can feel it in the tasty food and welcoming, helpful staff. They were happy to take care of every request. The small spa has everything you need to unwind.

We’ve just got home, and I wanted to write right away because we had such a positive stay. The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly, and the food both good and plentiful. It’s excellent value for money. Highly recommend it.

There’s a good ski room downstairs, with boot warmers and even a workbench. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and dinner came as a generous menu with a vegetarian choice. Our third-floor room was spacious, clean, practical, and very nice. There’s an elevator serving every floor, and the hosts greeted us warmly and gave us excellent information for our stay.
