Ristorante Bellavista Con Locanda

I’d especially come back for dinner. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, from the appetizers through dessert. The meal brought so much pleasure that I wished the evening would go on longer. The restaurant and small hotel sit in a peaceful, stunning spot on Lake Como. From the cozy terrace, the lake and mountains keep changing with the light, so the view is different moment to moment. The same family has run the place for generations, and their care shows in the details and makes the stay feel genuinely welcoming. A lovely choice for a family trip or a solo break, away from the tourist crowds, with the charm of Northern Italy all around.

We spent six nights at Bella Vista and had an amazing stay. The rooms were very clean, the staff were kind and lovely, and the service was great. Breakfast had everything we needed, and dinner at the restaurant was really tasty. The hotel is high in the mountains with spectacular views of lake Como and the surrounding peaks. It’s a quick drive from Milan airport, and Nesso, Bellagio, and Como are easy to reach from there. There’s also a hike to San Primo nearby. We’ll definitely return. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing, unlike anything I’ve had before, and the boutique hotel made for a beautiful stay. The room was comfortable, with an almost alpine feel. It was cold outside, but dinner in the restaurant by the fireplace was so cozy. I’d reserved the best seat with a view ahead of time. There’s plenty of parking at the bottom of the hotel. The drive up is worth it if you’re comfortable on the road. Take it slow, since locals drive with more confidence and can come up behind you quickly. Great hosts!
