Never come across a B&B that skips daily room cleaning and doesn’t change the towels each day. I’ve never seen a place like this. 👎👎👎

There wasn’t even a dedicated socket to charge my phone, and breakfast was inadequate. The shower was broken; the TV was small and mounted very high. The rooms felt basic, with uncomfortable beds and thin pillows.

Right in the heart of Nicosia, B&B Umberto I had a very clean room with the essentials: a shower bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV, and air conditioning. The owner was kind and very helpful. I’d definitely recommend it.

Check-in was straightforward, even though I’d booked at the very last minute. The location is good, and the coffee was nice, Italian-style. The B&B is getting old and sadly has no charm. It was very cold, and the shared kitchen isn’t available for guests to use.

On New Year’s Eve we ended up leaving at 2 a.m., having had no sleep, even though we’d already paid. The balcony frame was broken and let the cold in, and the radiators were turned down low, so it was freezing inside. I expected the owner to call and apologize, but that never happened.
