We dropped in for coffee, took a short walk, then came back for lunch. The dishes, from the starters through dessert, gave us a taste of local flavors and we were very happy with them. Everything was explained and service was quick. Great quality for good prices. A beautiful spot.

The porcini tagliatelle was very good, but the gnocchi with ribs and sausage didn't land as well, with soft gnocchi and a rather flat sauce. The appetizers were just average, and the chestnut and ricotta tart was decent. The part that bothered me most was ordering two amari at the counter: the owner handed us two gentian liqueurs as he passed, which we don't like. We assumed they were complimentary and tried them, then found them charged on the bill. We expected a better experience.

Back after a year, I enjoyed it just as much. The service is friendly and family oriented, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced, and the location works perfectly for hiking. A great choice if you're passing through.
