We travel a lot, and this was the first time we’d been charged a separate fee for bed linen in an apartment. The owner charged €10 a day for towels and sheets, even though the bedding wasn’t changed daily. We don’t travel with our own bedding, and when we rent a place we expect a proper place to sleep. He also suggested cancelling our Booking reservation and paying him directly. Our honest review mentioned that the apartment was dark and damp, along with the extra linen charges. Afterward he contacted us on WhatsApp in a very rude way, accusing us of making things up, and we couldn’t reply. The owner seemed unstable and difficult to deal with. We remember the whole stay with distaste and don’t recommend the place.

It’s in a very central spot, so exploring the city on foot was easy. The apartment was clean when we arrived and stayed well maintained during our visit.

The food tips our host gave us helped narrow down Noto’s endless choices. The Airbnb is just steps from a lovely central street, with a pasticceria and bar only five steps away. It’s close to everywhere in town, but far enough from the main square that we could sleep without motorcycles racing past. The apartment has two large bedrooms, a well-equipped bathroom, and was spotless. There’s thoughtful storage and a kitchenette with almost everything you need. Nearly perfect for a small family of three or four.

The location is the one thing worth mentioning, but the apartment is damp and musty. The owner kept bothering me, even before I’d left Poland, and charged an extra 30 euros for towels for three days on top of the booking price. Noto is on the second street, so I don’t recommend it.
