We took the train from Syracuse to Noto for a day trip from our Royal Caribbean cruise. It worked out well, and we saved £ by taking the train instead of booking the ship’s excursion.

We stayed at the Zioli' hotel. It was clean, the rooms were nice, the location was great, and breakfast was delicious.

In August 2021 we came back and found the town center literally overrun. Parking was really difficult, and there were lots of street vendors. Before that, the center around the cathedral and other Baroque sights had felt like a place built around simple, sustainable tourism. You could get a granita or buy Malvasia while supporting local products. There were no street sellers, parking issues, or bars blasting music. It seemed ideal for families and couples.

The town is well worth visiting for its art and culture, with a rewarding experience among some of Sicily’s finest Baroque sights. The place is centrally located and close to amenities and the main attractions. Highly recommended.
