Casa al Lago di Carezza - Dolomiti

I first came across this lake more than twenty years ago, when it was bigger and the narrow path around it sometimes made you watch your step near the water. Its basin has shrunk a lot since then, which I think is a natural change caused by the climate. The renovation work I saw about five years ago has made a real difference, and now there’s a proper route all the way around, with little bench areas to stop for photos or a rest. The water has beautiful, clear colors, and the path is very clean and suitable for children and people with disabilities. There’s now a large parking lot and traffic police as well. It’s become a real tourist attraction, though that growth has come alongside the lake’s reduction. I’d recommend visiting.
