The apartment is well built, with quality finishes and furniture, and a tasteful, consistent interior. It has a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. The views are picturesque and the location is great. It's a little far from the cable car, but that was fine for us since we had a car and expected that. One small drawback: there were no toiletries, not even soap or shampoo, and the kitchen had no salt or sugar. We bought what we needed, of course, but after driving 3,000 kilometers, that wasn't very pleasant.

Mrs. Kohler lives right next door and was very helpful. She even prepared a whole guidebook of excursion ideas. Our ground-floor apartment was by the parking lot and had a lovely, wind-protected sun terrace facing the Latemar massif, perfect for breakfast in the sun. The bathroom was in good shape, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's peaceful and quiet on a south-facing slope, with a lawn behind the apartment where we could sunbathe. For anyone traveling by car, it's an ideal base for visiting the western Dolomites and Bolzano. We also found it very good value, about 20% cheaper than the average in Welschnofen.
