Hotel Restaurant Pardeller

The view from our third-floor room was lovely, and breakfast was good, with a continental spread and eggs cooked however you like. Lago Carezza is only about a 10-minute drive away, and it's especially nice in the morning or evening when there are few people and traffic isn't an issue. The hotel itself was nice, but we didn't feel welcomed as guests or visitors to the area. Apart from a hello and taking our passports at check-in, the receptionist gave us no information about the area or things to do and made no effort to help. We also found the fire safety instructions confusing. They said not to shout “fire” in the event of a fire, but also to raise the alarm. There were no alarm switches within reach, so we're not sure how we were meant to raise it without shouting. It was okay, but €120 a night didn't feel justified. It's a shame we felt unwelcome, and we'd choose another nearby hotel with a reputation for good service.

The rooms are cute, but ours was cold. There was a bathtub instead of a shower curtain setup, which made washing my hair a big mess. Breakfast was good, though after the great reviews we expected more. Hospitality really wasn't what it should be. The reception was often unattended because one lady handled both reception and the restaurant. We tried to pay at check-in, but she refused because she was busy. When we asked again that evening, she said she couldn't do it then either. After getting up early to watch the sunrise at Lago di Carezza, we came back to find every hotel parking spot occupied, with the entrance to the upper lot blocked too. We had to find somewhere else to park. When we told the lady, she just said, “He's gone now anyway,” then walked off without apologizing or letting us finish. I wouldn't return. A warm welcome should be part of a hotel stay, especially in low season when there are hardly any guests and surely time to be nice.

The desserts are the best part, though all the dishes are really tasty. Prices are average, neither cheap nor expensive. This seems like the only place in Nova Levante where you can eat godlike food.

Breakfast was super generous, and the hotel is great for a very decent price. The staff are a bit unusual, but friendly in their own way. I'd definitely come back!
