It's a little out of the way, but breakfast was small and enough. The coffee was very good.

We had a lovely time there. We were celebrating my father's birthday, and the food was really tasty. Highly recommend it, especially for the reasonable price.

The peaceful setting was the first thing we noticed. We came to get away from the crowds around Lake Como and found this charming farm near Lake Mezzola, a quieter northern extension of the lake. The air was crisp and the views were beautiful. Our room was basic, clean, and cozy, while the restaurant became a highlight. The chef made different dishes each day, and breakfast was delicious too. The farm also makes its own honey, grappa, and blueberry jam. There are goats and horses, plus two friendly dogs, Nocci and Leopoldo. Down the road there's a sandy beach, and bikes and a canoe are available to rent for exploring the lake. We were a little concerned that things might feel too quiet for us in our late 20s, but it turned out to be just right for a restful break. The bigger towns around Lake Como are easy to reach for a day trip. The atmosphere also felt very authentic, with Italian families and couples staying there and no tourists in sight. A special thank you to the lovely British waitress, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, and to Luca, our warm and welcoming host. We felt at home. There are plenty of ways to get out and explore: the trail to the secluded alpine village of Codera starts nearby in Novate Mezzola. The hike was unforgettable. Codera is the region's last inhabited alpine town, with just four residents, and can only be reached on foot. If it rains, San Pellegrino Terme is about a scenic 1.5-hour drive away for a spa day. A 10/10 experience. We hope to come back!

The setting is stunning, with superb walking routes right on the doorstep. It's easy to get around by train, and both the train fares and the accommodation were very reasonable. We loved this friendly, family-run place, and our room was clean and modern. Our son and daughter have both visited too, and we all hope to return.
